He has a strong background in climate solutions and his expertise has been instrumental in the development of effective strategies to tackle climate change.
Dr. Jaja holds a Dr in environmental science from the Semintarian Unversity of Califonia and has extensive experience in policy formulation and implementation. He has worked with governments, NGOs, and international organizations in designing and executing sustainable development projects.
As the newly appointed OPAD Peace and Climate Civility Ambassador in Eastern Africa & the Horn of Africa and OPAD representative to the African Union, Dr. Jaja is committed to engaging stakeholders in the promotion of peaceful coexistence, environmental conservation, and sustainable development.
He is an ardent supporter of the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He firmly believes that effective climate action must be grounded in a culture of peace and civility, and that the key to achieving lasting peace and a healthy environment lies in collective action and collaboration.
With his vast experience in diplomacy, advocacy, and sustainable development, Dr. Jaja is well positioned to represent OPAD and the African continent on the global stage. He is a man of integrity, committed to the ideals of peace, justice, and sustainability.

Mr. Abassi’s has extensive knowledge on the climate change. His experience working with communities affected by climate change in Afghanistan has made him a prominent voice in advocating for the need to take urgent action to address the issue.
Mr. Abassi’s key focus as a climate change ambassador is to raise awareness among the Afghan population on the need to adopt sustainable practices to mitigate the effects of climate change on their land, livelihoods, and communities.
